Pondering Prostate Toys

A few months after I’d started working at Simply Pleasure, a customer came in to ask for advice on what toy to buy. He was a tall, burly gay man, looking for a Prostate Toy. On the surface, that sounds like a standard query for me to get, but this situation was special. He divulged to me that he’d struggled a lot in the gay community, being such a large man, as everyone saw him as a top. He wanted to experience life as a bottom. He was nervous: unsure how to approach the subject or what to ask for; he seemed quite lost. Now, one thing I’ve learned since working for Simply Pleasure is that it’s a lot easier to sell the right product to someone when I’ve tried it out myself...

A lot of people are surprised that I’ve tried anal toys - after all, I’m a straight man. People seem to be under the impression that only women and gay men can try anal play.

While the Rude Boy 7 was well suited to this particular customer, as he was well-versed in anal play, that may not be the case for everyone. I’ve put together some suggestions and recommendations below for people with different levels of anal expertise. Everyone’s got to start somewhere!

For a beginner, I would suggest the Bathmate Prostate Vibe by Bathmate. It’s smaller than the Rude Boy, so it’s much easier to use if you’re not used to the sensation. It’s also less rigid, so it’s going to be a lot more comfortable to use. Though this toy doesn’t have the wave function, it does have  vibration settings through the removal bullet on it so it will still tease and tantalize you.
